Good News for people searching for relatives in England

Looks like the General Register Office (GRO) can take steps to allow access to birth, marriage and death information in England without the need to order expensive certificates, after a change in the law.

  1. This is wonderful for the family researcher who is on a limited budget. Information for branch families can be obtained through this type of service so that at least there is a source of documentation cited for the important dates on a family member’s timeline. Also, people should remember to use the Snipping Tool that comes with Microsoft. While viewing the document online make a snapshot with the snipping tool, save it and attach to the family tree.
